I am dissatisfied with Reborn Rich ending, or should I say since I found out that Shin Hyunbeen is just a cameo in the first half of the show, or how they even waste her role which could make the story more balanced to have the perspective of the righteous side.
Apart from that, I think this show has the appeal of what happens in the conglomerate family especially when people found the resemble company with Samsung group. War of power in a modern family. I think because it's an adaptation of a novel, so I think the original story is already good. Things get ruined because the writer or production teams choose to make many plots twisted to increase the intensity of the story or for the ending of each episode. They success to get high ratings, but after people realized how the story ended, they would feel being lied to this whole time. What a waste to watch episodes 2 - 15 when the writer decided to kill Dojun character and there's no feeling of winning after the long battle. They make it too simple for Hyunwoo to win his case. And after showing how greedy & cunning the Jin family for 14 episodes, they just ended it with Jin Yong ki death and their loss to the overpowering of the company in less than 30 minutes.
Mostly Kdrama nowadays has shown a nice plot at the beginning and in the middle of the show but can't put a nice closing to end the story. In my opinion, the only Kdrama that has a nice close ending just only Under the Queen Umbrella.
There seems to be this recent impulse by screenwriters adapting or "reimagining" IPs to try and change the source material in a way that is almost guaranteed to annoy a whole lot of people. It's not just K dramas but Hollywood seems to be on that sort of bandwagon. I don't expect adaptations to be slavish copies of the original but some things just can't be messed with. I didn't read the web novel but even to me this last minute shift in direction is very awkwardly done. I can see why the K audiences are up in arms over it. For me I've become jaded and I did brace myself for an unsatisfying end. Been burnt far too many times.
I actually dropped Reborn Rich after Ep 7 or 8!! So my comment here is really not related to that drama, I have been watching A Recipe for Farewell....not for the faint-hearted. But it is off the charts amazing, phenomenal in every respect. I highly recommend.

I wanted to watch that one but somehow my Viki subscription doesn't give me access to that one.
