Omg, I had such HIGH hopes for "Parallel World." The show could've been truly special if not for its structural and censorship issues. Although I can't blame Meng Ziyi's character on censorship. Her role turned out to be such a disappointment :( I haven't read the original work so I don't know how much the show differs from the novel, but the writer impressed me with her creativity and secondary world. It's just such a shame certain key elements were mishandled.

To my surprise, I'm kind of struggling with "The Worst of Evil." So far Eui-jeong's honey trap seems to be sabotaging Jun-mo's operation more than anything else. I really hope that changes soon. Jun-Mo's latest development was a predictable but crucial/necessary one, and it'll be interesting to see how that affects him. Like you said, I don't think anyone is going to walk away in one piece. Jung-bae was a surprise dark horse for me, and I'm hoping he returns with a vengeance.

It's definitely a double-edged sword involving Eui-jeong in the op. I'm glad the show doesn't shy away from the negative consequences. It does complicate things even while it may help. It's a trade-off with its own set of problems.

Parallel World was such an odd mix of "stuff". Some of it worked but some of it didn't. Some of it is random. The issue for me came as much from the script as it did from the slavish execution of it. I like the fact that the story offered some explanation as to why the two worlds differed so much but there was some stuff that felt inexplicable.
