👋Hello! This is late in, but would you, have you considered watching 念无双 (A Moment but Forever)? I found it a rather smart, thoughtful & subversive drama that is completely nothing of what its teasers and trailers market ie. the typical tepid saccharine xianxia.

Ah thks much for replying! A pity it plodded for you! It was fun seeing aspects of physics and engineering being highlighted in a Cdrama whiles managing to pile in the responsibility of deities and the compelxity of forgiveness :) amongst other things :)
😄 hope you get to do so..someday :) .. it’s an interesting series that rewards..paying attention, as i told a friend. The earlier episodes foreshadow surprising reveals in later episodes, and seemingly boring sequences resolve themselves with unexpected poignancy. The soundtrack is lovely and the background sound/music manages to be hilariously comical and then poignantly haunting

I tried watching that show but couldn't get into it. It's Liu Xueyi so I gave it a go. For me it plods.
